About Me

I grew up in Southern California, always drawn to movement and a mindful, health-conscious way of living. My path to Pilates began with curiosity and quickly became a lifelong pursuit. The precision, discipline, and intelligence of the classical method spoke to something deep within me – a desire to move with purpose, strength, ease, and flow.

My journey started in 2002 with a few mat classes at a local gym. Captivated by the work, I began to study and practice on my own, discovering how deeply Pilates could transform the way we inhabit our bodies. Later, while traveling abroad, I sustained a knee injury that required surgery and rehabilitation. Pilates became an essential part of my recovery – restoring not only physical strength but also confidence and balance. That experience confirmed what I already knew: this method is both art and science, and I wanted to share it.

I completed my comprehensive certification under Jill Cassady through the Pilates Technique Certification program in Santa Monica, immersing myself in the traditional New York lineage of Pilates.

Rooted in this classical foundation, my teaching emphasizes precision, control, and seamless integration of strength and flexibility. Each session is a practice in alignment, awareness, and discipline that leads to true freedom in movement. Pilates keeps the body resilient and balanced – supporting us in all the ways we choose to move, create, and live.

Hi There, I’m Mandy Goss

I created Hi-Desert Pilates as a space for focused, one-on-one practice – where every session is tailored to you. I love helping people move with confidence and ease, building strength that supports them in everything they do. The classical method is a lifelong practice, and it’s an honor to share it with each person who walks through the door.

I work with clients who want to feel stronger, more connected, and pain-free in their bodies. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, building athletic performance, or simply seeking a better movement, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you forward through the classical method.

Your first visit is a personalized introduction to the classical Pilates method and the studio space. We’ll begin with a conversation about your body, current concerns, and goals. Followed by a brief assessment to observe posture, alignment, and movement patterns during the session. You’ll be introduced to the Pilates apparatus and experience a short private session designed to meet your needs. This session allows me to evaluate how your body moves and create a thoughtful plan to support your continued practice. Discover how Pilates can bring balance, strength, and alignment to your everyday life.
